Aseptic filling is a critical process in skincare OEM production, directly related to product sterility, safety, and shelf life. It is especially essential for high-risk skincare products that are prone to microbial contamination. Strict adherence to process standards and targeted application for high-risk products are key to avoiding product deterioration and ensuring consumer safety. This article details the process standards of aseptic filling in skincare OEM and its application in high-risk products, providing practical guidance for brands to achieve compliant and safe production.

Process Standards for Aseptic Filling in Skincare OEM

1. Aseptic Environment and Equipment Requirements

Aseptic filling must be carried out in a Class 100-1000 clean room, where the number of airborne particles (≥0.5μm) does not exceed 3520 particles/m³. All filling equipment (filling nozzles, pipelines, containers) must be sterilized by high-temperature steam (121℃, 30 minutes) or ozone sterilization before use, and sterility testing must be passed. The equipment should be regularly maintained and calibrated to ensure no leakage or contamination during the filling process.

2. Operational Process Specifications

Operators must wear sterile protective clothing, masks, gloves, and shoe covers, and pass air shower disinfection before entering the clean room. The filling process must be completed in a closed system to minimize contact with air. The filling speed should be controlled reasonably (20-50 bottles/minute for small bottles, 10-30 bottles/minute for large bottles) to avoid splashing and contamination. After filling, immediate sealing is required, with the sealing time not exceeding 30 seconds to prevent microbial intrusion.

Application of Aseptic Filling in High-Risk Skincare Products

High-risk skincare products, which are prone to microbial growth due to their formula characteristics, rely heavily on aseptic filling to ensure safety. For water-based products (e.g., serums, toners) with high water content and no preservatives, aseptic filling can prevent bacterial and fungal contamination. For oil-in-water emulsions (e.g., sensitive skin creams) and injectable skincare products, strict aseptic filling is mandatory to avoid infection risks. MOOYAM OEM strictly follows ISO 22716 and GMP standards, implements strict aseptic filling process control, and provides targeted solutions for high-risk product filling, helping brands ensure product safety and compliance.
